About Me

I was diagnosed with DDH in April 2014 after a sudden onset of severe pain. I had a PAO on my right hip in November 2014. While working on physio exercises to strengthen and ease muscle pain in the right hip, I now have a problem with the left hip too. I have just completed sixth form, and have a conditional place at university, but I will delay starting until next year as I may need the same operation on the left hip too.

Hi Megan,
I'm part of the HH staff team. I just wanted to say hello and welcome to a lovely support network. I'm sorry to hear you are going through such difficulties with your hip. I myself have also gone through PAO surgery and have ongoing issues so I know exactly what you're going through. I'm sorry to know you've had to defer a year at university, I also did the same so I could sort my hip out. It is a decision which will be worth it in the end I'm sure. Feel free to message me if you want any advice or someone to talk to. Also post on our forum if you have any general questions as many of our members are also in a similar situation as yours.
Regards,
Ruqayyah x
